A surebet (or arbitrage) appears when the odds across bookmakers let you back every outcome of a match and still profit. This calculator checks whether that is the case and tells you how much to stake on each outcome.
How it works
Add up the implied probability of each price (1 ÷ odds). If the total is below 100% an arbitrage exists: the guaranteed return equals your total stake divided by that total. If it is above 100%, the difference is the margin working against you.
Worked example (made-up odds)
For one match you find 2.30 on the home win, 3.60 on the draw and 4.20 on the away win. The implied probabilities add up to 95.07%. With 100 to split, stake 45.74, 29.22 and 25.05: the return is 105.19 whichever outcome lands, a profit of 5.19.
Before you rely on it
- Odds move fast: a surebet can vanish before all your bets are accepted.
- Bookmakers may limit or close accounts that arbitrage regularly.
- One typo or voided bet can turn a locked-in profit into a loss, so double-check every price.

Frequently asked questions
What is a surebet?
A situation where the gap between bookmakers’ odds lets you cover every outcome with a return above your total stake.
Why does my calculation show no arbitrage?
Within a single bookmaker the margin makes arbitrage impossible, because the implied probabilities exceed 100%. You need the best prices from several operators.
Is a surebet risk-free?
On paper yes. In practice, price changes, stake limits, voided bets and input errors can erase the profit.
